Gravity beneficiation test of titanium zirconium

Titanium zirconium is an important metal element widely used in aviation, aerospace, military, chemical and other fields. The production of titanium and zirconium requires extraction from ores, and there are many impurities in titanium and zirconium ores that require mineral processing. Gravity beneficiation is a commonly used beneficiation method that utilizes the different movement patterns of minerals with different densities in the gravity field to separate them.

test equipment

钛锆重力选矿试验1. Shaker: A 6S type shaker is used, with an amplitude of 2-3mm, a frequency of 45-48 times/minute, a water flow rate of 10-17L/min, and a slope of 5.

2. Spiral sorting machine: FLG-5 spiral sorting machine is used, with a spiral diameter of 500mm, a spiral speed of 8-12r/min, and a feed particle size of 0.3-0.02mm.

3. High intensity magnetic separator: CTB-1018 high intensity magnetic separator is adopted, with Magnetic flux density of 1200Gs, rotational speed of 40r/min, and feed particle size of 0.5-0mm.

Test steps

1. Ore crushing: The raw ore is preliminarily crushed with a crushing particle size of 0-10mm.

2. Shaker beneficiation: The crushed ore is placed in a shaker for beneficiation, with a beneficiation time of 10 minutes. Collect the selected heavy and light minerals separately.

3. Spiral sorting: Place the heavy minerals selected by the shaking table into a spiral sorting machine for sorting, with a sorting time of 5 minutes. Collect the sorted coarse and fine particles separately.

4. Magnetic separation: Place the coarse particles separated by the spiral separator into a high-strength magnetic separator for magnetic separation, with a magnetic separation time of 5 minutes. Collect the selected magnetic and non magnetic minerals separately.

5. Re shaking table beneficiation: The non magnetic minerals after magnetic separation are placed in the shaking table for re beneficiation, with a beneficiation time of 10 minutes. Collect the selected heavy and light minerals separately.

After the above test steps, the following test results were obtained:

1. Shaker beneficiation: The recovery rate of heavy minerals is 80%, and the recovery rate of light minerals is 20%.

2. Spiral sorting: The coarse particle recovery rate is 60%, and the fine particle recovery rate is 40%.

3. Magnetic separation: The recovery rate of magnetic minerals is 90%, and the recovery rate of non magnetic minerals is 10%.

4. Shake bed beneficiation again: The recovery rate of heavy minerals is 90%, and the recovery rate of light minerals is 10%.

Based on the above experimental results, this test method can effectively separate impurities in titanium zirconium ore, improve the recovery rate and purity of titanium zirconium.

This article introduces a gravity beneficiation test method for titanium zirconium, which effectively separates impurities from titanium zirconium ore through steps such as shaking table beneficiation, spiral separation, magnetic separation, and re shaking table beneficiation, thereby improving the recovery rate and purity of titanium zirconium.
